Exercise Schmexercise

Dear former-exerciser,

Do you think that being grumpy all the time really suits you? Do you
have a permanent scowl? Does the theme for the wicked witch of the
west play as you walk through the halls at work? Do people scatter as
you stomp along in heels from meeting to meeting?

There is a solution to this serious problem. And trust me, it is a
VERY serious problem. The solution involves something that you don't
want to fathom or even consider.

Take a break and go run.

I know that sounds crazy, but let's get real. You stomped up the
stairs today at work and were out of breath after 3 flights. You've
been drinking coffee in the morning and afternoon and evening. And
rum, kahlua and wine in the late evenings. This is not helpful.
Instead of frantically working on your paper, go for a run. Instead of
biting your kids' head off, go for a run. Take your dogs while you are
at it--they have been so ignored lately they've been digging out of

So Sorry

I'm am so sorry I haven't posted recently. As you can imagine--I've
been working as much as possible on my thesis and have given up
anything remotely physical.

No Run + No Bike + No Swim = Uber-Bitch.

Everyone has commented on it recently. My hubby wants a divorce, the
teenagekid is like, "dang you have a bad attitude"(this from a
teenager!), and my work manager keeps asking me why I am not forgiving
of others' mistakes. (Uhm, cause I'm sick of cleaning up after
everyone else's mistakes!)

Anyway, the gallons of coffee and tea haven't really helped my mood
either--or my digestive system.

So it's good times around our house these days. Hopefully I'll be done
in the next week or so...

Slight Election Hangover

Slight Election Hangover today.

Today's work was subdued--nobody was talking and instead everyone was
on the internet getting the low down about yesterday's events.

I am pushing hard on my thesis. Topic is strange and hard to write
about concisely.

Happy post-election day. Only 6 weeks and 1 day until Christmas.
